All Motor Carriers Must Keep A Complete Roster On All Commercial 19-A Drivers
Article 19-A is done by a Certified NYS 19-A Examiner
Every two years, bus drivers must pass a medical examination, a practical driving test, behind-the-wheel tests, and written or oral exams testing their knowledge of the rules of the road, and must continuously maintain a safe driving record both on and off the job. Additionally, school bus drivers must undergo criminal background checks.
